The Final Verdict

We wanted the Husqvarna 450 to win because of the additional power, the anti-vibration system, and the excellent air filtration system. We also felt that it come with a few nice little extras. Nevertheless, for the additional cost, the shorter warranty and the issues with quality control, it wasn’t enough to steal top place.

Today, the better chainsaw was the Echo CS 490. The power was excellent and there were far fewer issues with defective products. We felt that this chainsaw was easy to use, and we appreciated the lightweight materials. It was priced just right for the power it offers and maintenance was also very easy, so all-round, this was a great buy.
